Raise Your Sites Group Create

December 22, 2009 – Today I invited Facebook friends to join the “Raise Your Sites” group.  It was created to teach and put into practice specific ways that will raise the ranking of websites, blogs, articles and videos on search engines and communities like YouTube.

Because group members will be working together the size of the group is limited to 100 Facebook members.

The group was created after extensive research and experience with available approaches for accomplishing this goal.  What I found in doing this research is that there are three main “tools” that have become available for this purpose, many of them focus on increasing YouTube video views.

There are tools that can be purchased that automatically “view” a video.  There are two issues with these.  First, they must be purchased.  Second, YouTube recently caught onto this technology and made changes in the YouTube system that makes the tools virtually useless.

Another approach is like a traffic exchange in which real people view the videos.  One benefit of this approach is that it is free.  However, the approach relies on the use of iframes.  Again, YouTube has blocked the use of iframes, making this approach useless.

Finally, one could purchase views by real people.  However, that approach can get expensive.

The idea behind the “Raise Your Sites” group is that people will work together viewing each others’ videos, web sites, articles and blogs.  When they go to another person’s media, they can leave a comment or make it a favorite.  Each of these activities are viewed favorably by search engines and can increase ranking.

The benefits of this approach are creating a cohesive, cooperative group that assists each other at no cost.  Once learned, these approaches can be taught to friends and associates for each others’ benefit.

I’ll keep you informed about how it all goes.

Wishing you a great holiday.
